The 256th level in Pac-Man, considered to be unplayable under normal circumstances. This is what is referred to in the arcade gaming world as the “Kill Screen”. The last level that can be played on a video game because programmers didn’t continue writing code that would allow game play to continue beyond a certain point. Programmers reasoned that people would stop playing long before they reached a kill screen.
